We provide youth programs that focus on developing life skills, building resilience, and cultivating safe spaces to support youth in uncovering, discovering and recovering their authentic selves. We will focus on the LGBTQ youth and the Native youth of the tribes of Warm Springs.
Our board member, former NFL pro football player, John Charles, All American and was a Portland State Football Hall of Fame Inductee at quarterback (2018), will be leading our football and life skills youth programs.
Jerek Theo Lovey will be running our LGBTQ youth programs. Jerek self-identifies as LGBTQ+, trans, and queer. Jerek has lived experience working with LGBTQ+ youth as a coach, teacher, guide, and inspirational speaker. He is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ and trans rights and mental health.
Our LGBTQ Youth Programs will launch this spring 2023. SriPonya is affirming, celebrating, and advocating for the inclusivity, visibility, and opportunities of and for LGBTQ+ youth throughout Central Oregon. Through innovative programs, events, and outreach, we are creating safe, educational, and fun spaces for LGTBQ+ youth to exist, to be inspired, and to have their gifts and creative talents blossom. Programs will include creative writing and storytelling, theater, music, art, athletics, and entrepreneurship, as well as self-care practices such as yoga, breathwork, embodiment, meditation, mindfulness, and visualization.
